Owing to the great increase in the present prices of food, fuel, Clothing
And all other Necessaries
of life. I am quite unable to live on my present small pension, and pay my way.
And I am too old to get my living
at work.
Therefore I most respectfully beg that your Lordship will be good enough to
Consider this my Petition, and intercede
on my behalf,
with a view
of granting me an increase on my pension, or at least
a bonus,
I have not complained or Applied before
because I knew that H.M. Ministers had all their time Occupied in War Matters during the War.
